T'agradaria llogar una casa dels MVRDV? i de Peter Zumthor?
Living architecture és una empresa que està construint 5 cases d'arquitectes de renom per poder-les llogar als amants de l'arquitectura més exclusiva. Te les mires, comproves la disponibilitat i reserves via internet (http://www.living-architecture.co.uk/). De la mateixa manera que reserves un massatge o unes entrades pel teatre pots reservar el que ells anomenen una "experiència arquitectònica".
Cases construïdes amb la mateixa finalitat d'una arquitectura efímera o temporal. el programa no respon a una activitat rutinària, repetible en el temps, sino que cal sorprendre, estimular, experimentar. si la demanda és aquesta, la oportunitat d'experimentar és única. Noves maneres d'entendre un habitatge, la relació d'aquest amb el seu entorn, la percepció del qui hi passeja...
Els MVRDV ho aprofiten i juguen. Sistema estructural arriscat, una biga en voladís (30 metres de llarg i en vola 15...) ancorada al terreny en la part posterior, provocant en l'espectador una sorprenent percepció. Sembla que la gravetat canviï les seves lleis. Ens venen al cap d'altres projectes com els Wozoco apartments a Amsterdam.
L'experimentació però sembla afluixar en d'altres aspectes. La distribució interior respon a les lleis d'un hotel. Passadís lateral i dormitoris en bateria. Sales comunes als testers.
La façana és brillant, metàl.lica, gairebé desapareix amb el reflex. La idea la vincula als graners tradicionals i a la voluntat de reflexar el paisatge. Ens agrada pensar també que degut a l'alta reflexió funciona com un bon aïllament tèrmic. Que coberta i façana assoleixen una estanqueïtat perfecta i que hi deu existir un mecanisme que possibiliti la transpiració de la humitat interior.
Hem llegit que te un sistema de calefacció basat en la geotèrmia, és a dir, que aprofita la temperatura constant del subsòl pels sistemes de calefacció. Diuen que és una casa sostenible. No veiem cap protecció a les finestres per limitar les pèrdues interiors, tampoc sistemes de captació solar. Potser l'ús massiu del metall en la estructura i els revestiments exteriors ens fan dubtar de tanta sostenibilitat.
Tot i això... m'encantaria poder passar-hi les meves vacances!

Experimentation seems to loosen but in other respects. The interior layout responds to the laws of a hotel. Corridor side and bedrooms on drums. Common rooms for testers.
The front is shiny, metallic, reflection almost disappears. The idea of linking the traditional barns and will reflect the landscape. We like to think also that due to the high reflection serves as a good insulation. To achieve a watertight roof and facade perfect and that there must be a mechanism that enables the transpiration of moisture inside.
We read that has a heating system based on geothermal energy, namely, that exploits the constant temperature by heating the ground. They say it is a house sustainable. We see no protection for interior windows to limit losses, not solar systems. Maybe the massive use of metal in the structure and exterior coatings make us doubt such sustainability.
However ... I would love to spend my holiday in it!
