Montbau ha fet enguany 50 anys. Projecte redactat amb pressa ja que calia generar habitatge social amb urgència. Barcelona era la capital de les barraques.
Massa pressa per revisar a fons el projecte, massa pressa per adonar-se de que els arquitectes experimentaven, massa pressa per posar límits a noves tipologies d'habitatge, noves maneres de viure, nous processos tecnològics, nous sistemes prefabricats.
Avui Montbau és paradigma de modernitat. Avui Montbau no es podria fer. Dúplex, tríplex, ventilacions a passeres...
L'arquitecte actual escriu més que no pas dibuixa. Alçada reguladora, accessibilitat, evacuacions, certificats... Administracions sense pressa fan que moltes de les intencions quedin mortes al camí.
Seran els nostres projectes "moderns" d'aquí a 50 anys?
Montbau project is 50 years old. Project written in a hurry because we needed to urgently build social housing. Barcelona was the capital of the slums.Too fast to overhaul the project too quickly to realize that architects experienced, too fast to put limits on new types of housing, new ways of living, new technological processes, new prefabricated systems.Montbau Today's paradigm of modernity. Today Montbau could not be done. Duplex, triplex, ventilations happen ...The architect now writes rather than drawn. Height regulations, accessibility, evacuations, certificates ... Authorities do not rapidly that many of the intentions remain dead on the road.
Our projects will be "modern" in 50 years?
